Flexmort’s ColdSpace Cold Room system is the modern answer to instant temporary or permanent chilled storage spaces for the storage of the deceased without the need for mortuary refrigerators. The cold room system can be made any size or shape and uses specially engineered insulated curtains. The Flexmort Cold Curtain system (Cold Room) is in use within NHS mortuaries, hospices and funeral directors.
ColdSpace Cold Room systems can be installed in advance and the ColdSpace curtains pulled back to allow the space to continue to be used for any other purpose and is perfect for hospitals, funeral directors, hospices and mass fatality situations. When required for deceased storage, ColdSpace is operational in minutes and Flexmort’s range of body storage racking can be quickly erected. This makes it perfect for transforming virtually any room into a cold room for the deceased.
Evaporator(s) matched to the duty required can be roof mounted or through a nearby wall or division and the standard temperatures are 5˚C at an ambient of 32˚C.
Racking Options
Flexmort have various collapsible/foldable wheeled racking systems that can be utilised within the ColdSpace Cold Room system as well as the Flexmort patient trolley. This provides complete flexbility and allows the space to be used for a large number of bodies, or bariatric (obese) deceased.
