Death Care is changing. Get ready.
Discover the benefits of individual body cooling in hospice bereavement care
Where does your level of care stop?
How families are supported immediately following the death of a loved one can have a profound impact on how they respond and adjust to their new reality.
Providing cooling facilities to extend the time before a child or adult’s body is transferred to a morgue can have a beneficial effect on how families start to accept the reality of their loved one’s death. By incorporating body cooling into hospice services, organizations can enhance the quality of care they provide and better meet the evolving needs of their patients and families.

What's changing?
Healthcare in the United States is evolving to incorporate innovative services like individual body cooling. This enhances the support families receive when a loved one dies. These advancements in death care aim to provide more options for families to spend time with their loved ones after death, fostering a sense of closure and comfort during the grieving process, whilst adding revenue to organizations profits.

What is body cooling?
Body cooling, including the use of CuddleBlankets, is commonly employed in hospices and funeral homes offering quality after death care services, to slow down the natural changes that occur in the body after death.
This process helps preserve the body, allowing families more time to spend with their loved ones in a patients room, before final arrangements are made. The CuddleBlanket offers the flexibility to choose a more comfortable environment for family members to say goodbye. This practice means an individual remains in an organizations care for longer.
“The CuddleBlanket is compact and mobile, and fortunately for us nurses really easy to put together! It absolutely did the job we purchased it for, was unobtrusive and allowed us to let relatives say a proper unhurried goodbye to their loved one. Great product.”
P.Turner - Lead Nurse for Clinical Quality and Practice Development, Mountbatten Hospice
